Ann M. Donai, 90, of Americana Healthcare Center died there at 12:35 p.m. Saturday, July 8, 1995.
Born May 18, 1905, in Goldfield, Iowa, to Frederick and Cora Nelson Madison, she married Seymour M. Donai on Sept. 4, 1929, in Goldfield. He died April 1, 1986, in Peoria. Nine brothers and three sisters also preceded her in death. Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Merrill (Mary) Buesing of Peoria; two sisters, Mrs. Julius (Pearl) McAdams of Dows, Iowa, and Edna Glidden of Denver; and two grandchildren. A registered nurse, she graduated from Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines in 1928. She worked for Solar Corp. in Iowa and for Des Moines Public Health Department, retiring in 1972. She was active with the American Red Cross during World War II. She was a district leader for Girl Scouts of America. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Wilton Mortuary. Cremation will be accorded, and burial of ashes will be at noon Saturday at Glendale Cemetery in Des Moines. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, central Illinois chapter.
