September 29, 1992A funeral for Letty Mae Blair, a 98-year-old Northeast Portland resident, will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday in the Gateway Little Chapel of the Chimes. She died of causes related to age Saturday in a Portland care center. Born July 6, 1894, in Goldfield, Iowa, she moved to the Brush Prairie, Wash., area with her family around the turn of the century. She had lived in the Portland area since about 1910 and married George Blair in 1910. Mrs. Blair had worked as a janitor in the Portland area for a number of years until her retirement during the early 1970s. She was employed at the Portland shipyards during the war years. Her husband died in 1955. She is survived by her son, Clifton of Beaverton; daughters, Maxine Anderson of Santa Cruz, Calif., and Sonoma Peterson of Hemet, Calif.; nine grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. Burial will be in Parkhill Cemetery in Vancouver, Wash.
