Marvin D. Heggen, 78, passed away Saturday, July 2, 2005, after a lengthy illness. Marvin was a Ventura County resident for 65 years. He was born Jan. 23, 1927, in Eagle Grove, Iowa, to Christopher Heggen and Anna Johnson. Marvin was the superintendent of nursing at Camarillo State Hospital. Marvin was an avid gardener and active in the Ventura County Fair. He was also a member of Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer and the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Marvin was preceded in death by his wife Marie T. Heggen. He is survived by his second wife, Marian T. Heggen; daughter, Patricia Jimenez; sister, Vivian Stimson; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, July 9, at Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer, 721 Doris Ave., Oxnard.
