Darrell D. Coleman, 46, died Monday, January 31 2005, in the Hamilton County Hospital at Webster City. Funeral services will be held at 12:30 p.m. today (Thursday, February 3), in the Evangelical Lutheran Church at Eagle Grove. Visitation is at the church from 10:30 a.m. today until the time of services. Burial is in East Lawn cemetery at Algona. The Foust Funeral Home of Eagle Grove is in charge of arrangements. Darrell Dean Coleman was born September 5, 1958, in Hancock County, Britt, Iowa. He graduated with the Algona High School Class of 1976. In the mid 1980s, he moved to Eagle Grove. Dean worked several years in the construction field.Dean was an avid sports fan. His favorite teams were the Iowa Hawkeyes and the Pittsburgh Steelers. He enjoyed spending time with his family. Survivors include his daughter, Amanda Coleman of Eagle Grove, a grandson, Jonathon; his mother, Marcella Johnson of Eagle Grove; four brothers, Dwight Coleman, Eagle Grove; Kevin and his wife, Wendy Coleman, Waseca, Minn.; Brian and his wife, Tammy Johnson of Altoona, Iowa and Scott and his wife, Jody Johnson of Lisbon, Iowa; two sisters and their husbands, Denise and Greg Henken, Forest City and Lisa and Gary Baagoe, Lisbon, Iowa; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Johnson and a sister and brother-in-law, Dorreen and John Voigt. Memorials may be directed to the discretion of the family.
