Mary McVicker Brown, 90, of Larkfield Drive, died June 4, 2005, at Florida Hospital-Ormond Memorial. Mrs. Brown retired as a postal clerk. Born in Eagle Grove, Iowa, she moved to this area in 1987 from New Boston, Mich. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of DeLand and Southridge Country Club in DeLand. She was an avid golfer, playing three times a week, even at 90 years old. She walked the course and played until February of this year. Mrs. Brown is survived by one son, Thomas C. of Port Charlotte, two sisters, Myrtha Clark of Greeley, Colo., and Claudia Whittier of Thousand Palms, Calif., three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Lankford was in charge.
