Frank Reif, age 69, of Mystic, died Sunday, March 26, 2006, at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines. He was born the son of Carl and Madelaine (Mead) Reif on May 29, 1936 in Eagle Grove. He received his education in Eagle Grove Community Schools in Eagle Grove. On December 19, 1958, Frank was united in marriage to Zelda (Roberta) Parrish in Webster City. They lived in Webster City and Des Moines before moving to Mystic 25 years ago. Over the years, he was a mechanic for Bratz Automotive, Jack Morris Motors and DeVore Ford all in Centerville. Frank was preceded in death by: his parents and wife, Zelda (Roberta) Reif on June 30, 2000. He is survived by: his son, Jeff and his wife, Debbie Reif of Oskaloosa; daughters, Debbie and her husband, Terry Purvis of Gifford, Vickie and her husband, Phil Thomas of Ottumwa and Carla and her husband, Dan Egbert of Melrose; sister, Frances Graham of Michigan; 11 grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 29, 2006 at 10 a.m. at the Schmidt Family Funeral Home in Centerville with Mike Willis officiating with burial to follow in the Highland Cemetery near Mystic. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 28, 2006 from 1 to 8 p.m. at the Schmidt Family Funeral Home with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials can be made to the Highland Cemetery Association and can be mailed to or left at the Schmidt Family Funeral Home at 501 N. 18th St. in Centerville, Iowa 52544.
