Noah Zarate, 3 months, of Winfield, died Tuesday afternoon, Dec. 28, 2004, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City. Born Sept. 19, 2004, in Iowa City, he was the son of Angel Zarate and Karen Arnold. He was a member of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Mount Pleasant. Survivors include his parents of Winfield; one sister, Katie Arnold of Winfield; two brothers, Jacob and Jared Arnold of Winfield; maternal grandparents, Dave and Linda Gord of Eagle Grove; paternal grandparents, Anastasio Zarate and Julia Castro of Puebla, Mexico; maternal great–grandmother, Rosetta Middleton of Eagle Grove; aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by one uncle.Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Friday at Honts Funeral Home in Winfield. The funeral for Noah Zarate will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Honts Funeral Home, with the Rev. Nicholas Adam officiating. Burial will be in Winfield–Scott Township Cemetery.
