BEAVER, John F. (1855-1910)
John Beaver, who was injured last Monday by being thrown from his mail wagon, while serving his route, died the following night. Mr. Beaver was 55 years of age. About 50 years of his life was spent in Wright county, where he came from Pennsylvania in 1861. He was married to Mary, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David Stevenson, Oct. 12, 1887. His wife and six children, Nellie, Ity, Vern, Claudia, Fred and Sarah, survive him. One daughter died in infancy. Other near relatives who live to mourn the loss of a brother are; Wm. Beaver of Marshalltown, Jonas Beaver of Fort Dodge, Mrs. Herner of Fort Collins, Colo., and Mrs. Sawin of Theodore, Utah. His long residence at this place, his large heart and genial manner made his friends here many, all of whom sympathize truly with Mrs. Beaver and the family in their bereavement. The funeral services were held at the U. P. church, of which Mr. Beaver was a consistent member. The pastor being absent, Rev. A. B. Cuthbert lead in the services. The attendance was very large, the church and auditorium being filled. Beautiful floral offerings decorated the church and covered the casket. Interment was at Glenwood cemetery.
