Frances Elizabeth Farmer Dean

The sudden death of Mrs. F. E. Dean last week was a shock to her family and friends. Her only daughter Mrs. W. S. Farmer, with whom she had been having a pleasant visit in Steubenville, Ohio, for several months prior to her death, arrived here with her husband and children Monday. The funeral service was held at the M. E. church Wednesday afternoon. Mrs. Dean was greatly beloved by all who knew her because of her kindly sympathetic nature. Since the marriage of her only child and consequent removal to Ohio, Mrs. Dean had spent the time alternately in her home at this place and with her daughter. Her near relatives who are so sadly bereaved, are her daughter Nora and family, her brothers Fred and S. C. Farmer of this place and her sisters, Mrs. John Rowen of Rowan, Mrs. Lillie Pierce of Belmond and Mrs. Lothian of Colorado. Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord. Mrs. Dean was a consistent Christian.
