Lena “Fay” Hennigar, 69, of 903 9th Ave. N., Northwood, died Friday (Jan. 13, 2006) at the Mercy Medical Center-North Iowa, Mason City.

Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m.Wednesday at the First Lutheran Church, Northwood, with the Rev. Wayne Hagen officiating. Inurnment will take place at a later time at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Lawton, Okla. Visitation will be one hour before the service on Wednesday. The family suggests memorials to American Cancer Society.

Fay was born on Oct. 2, 1936, in Indiahoma, Okla. the daughter of James D. and Delsie (Franks) Morrison. She graduated from Indiahoma High School.

Fay married Stanley Hennigar on April 5, 1956, in Oklahoma. They lived in Colorado and then moved to Manly, Iowa, and lived there until she moved to her present home in Northwood in 2001.

She worked for Winnebago Industries for about twenty-five years until she retired in 2000.

Fay was well known for her famous Saturday night tacos. She enjoyed bowling, reading, being with her friends and family and especially traveling to be with them. She was also an avid gardener.

She is survived by her five children: Dennis Hennigar and his wife, Jene, The Colony, Texas; Doreen Jacks and her husband, Mike, Greeley, Colo.; Gary Dean Hennigar and his wife, Kim, Northwood; Sherry Olson and her husband, Kory, Northwood; and Sheila Ketler and her husband, Richard, Dallas, Texas; thirteen grandchildren: Kris Jacks, Kortnie Jacks, Bryan Koster, Jayson Olson, Shayne Olson, Pierce Tuttle, Paige Tuttle, Bryson Hennigar, Tyler Julson, Hannah Hennigar, Hunter Hennigar, Derek Hennigar and David Hennigar; two sisters: Wynola Taylor, Lawton, Okla., and Delores Dye and her husband, David, Lakewood, Calif.; and two brothers: J.D. Morrison and his wife Ingrid, Bethany, Okla., and Keith Morrison and his wife, Helen, Edmond, Okla.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Kenneth Morrison; sister, Mildred Ballard; and a daughter, Shelly Hennigar.
