Oscar Conrad Kaasa 1894-1972

Oscar Kaasa (78 yr.) died Sunday evening at Mercy Hospital, Mason City, Iowa
(Lake Mills Graphic 5-3-1972) Oscar Conrad Kaasa was born April 15, 1894 in
rural Bristol Twp., Worth Co. He was baptized at Concordia Lutheran Church,
confirmed at Sion Lutheran Church and on May 20, 1917 was married to Inger
Sorbo at Silver Lake Lutheran Church. They farmed east of Lake Mills until
1946 when they moved to a farm west of Lake Mills. They have lived in Lake
Mills since 1967. Mr. Kaasa served as church custodian for a total of 27
years, seven at Sion Lutheran and 20 at North Prairie Lutheran.

He is survived by his wife, Inger; three daughters, Mrs. Herbert (Norene) Rod,
Mason City; Mrs. Palmer (Olga) Dahl, Manly and Mrs. Dean (Ina) Misel, Marengo
and nine grandchildren; one brother, Thomas Kaasa, Hanlontown and two sisters,
Mrs. Christ Johnson, Northwood and Mrs. Neil Ackland, Albert Lea.

He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, two sisters and one
granddaughter.
