Allie E. Theilich
(December 22, 1889 – May 24, 1905)Obituary
Allie E., daughter of Cornelius and Maggie Theilich, was born December 22, 1889 and died May 24, 1905, aged 15 years, 5 months and 2 days. She was born at the home near Kensett where she lived until 3 ½ years ago when her parents decided to leave the farm, in part that their daughter might have the advantage of a graded school. She loved the school work and being quick to learn was for one of her years as far advanced as the circumstances would allow, always prompt in attendance when she had the strength. In the Sunday school she was present also as often as possible and enjoyed her part in the affairs of the church. As a child she seemed well until about three years ago and not until last November was it very apparent that her life might terminate in a few months. In her sickness she was hopeful and cheerful, she suffered much at times but each week enjoyed the Sunday school papers. As a member of the class in catechism she received the instructions in childlike faith and kept up this part of her training in a creditable manner. Through her sickness she remembered to look to God in her daily prayers. She is done with earth and all that is for time. Her part is in another and better world. We would commemorate her who was cut off in the morning of life with thoughts of her and her God. The funeral services were held at the Kensett M. E. church Saturday at 10 a.m., conducted by Rev. Lang, her former pastor. Interment was made in the Kensett Cemetery.
We wish to thank all our friends for their many expressions of love and sympathy in our sorrow and in an especial manner to thank the school children for their loving remembrance of their schoolmate, Allie.
