Clara Annette Dahl
(May 6, 1878 – April 12, 1907)Obituary
Clara Annette Dahl, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. G. Dahl, was born in Deer Creek Township, in Worth County, Iowa May 6, 1878, and was baptized and confirmed by Rev. Oleson of St. Ansgar, Iowa. She received her education at the Northwood High School (from which she graduated with class of ’96) and later at Minneapolis. For ten years she was a patient, energetic teacher, and also an ever ardent worker in all religious duties, always considering her neighbor’s welfare in preference to her own, thus endearing herself to the hearts of all her associates. Her health began to fail last summer, but gradually she became stronger until about a month ago when she failed slowly until her death which occurred Friday, April 12. Besides her host of friends she is survived by a father and mother, two brothers and three sisters. Her comfort was in these lines: It is not death to die – to leave this weary road, and midst the brotherhood on high to be at home with God. It is not death to close the eye long dimmed with tears, and wake in glorious repose to spend eternal years. It is not death to fling aside this sinful dust and rise on strong, exalting wing, to live among the just. Jesus, thou Prince of Life, they chosen cannot die. Lake thee, they conquer in the stife to reign with thee on high.
The funeral was held in the Trinity Lutheran church last Sunday afternoon at three o’clock. The remains were interred in Sunset Rest Cemetery.
Card of Thanks – We wish to express our sincere thanks to our relatives and friends for the kindness and sympathy shown us during our recent bereavement. Mr. and Mrs. A. G. Dahl and family.
