LLOYD A. RUFFRIDGE

NORTHWOOD - Lloyd A. Ruffridge, 83, of Northwood, died Tuesday (Oct. 10, 2000) at the Lutheran Retirement Home in Northwood.

The funeral will be 1 p.m. on Friday at the Bride Colonial Chapel, 110 E. Spring St. in Manly, with the Rev. Allan J. Stoa officiating. Burial will be in the Sunset Rest Cemetery in Northwood, with military honors by Our Buddies VFW Memorial Post No. 6779 of Northwood.

Friends may call from 11 a.m. until time of services on Friday at the Chapel.

Conner Colonial Chapel in Northwood is in charge of the arrangements.

Lloyd A. Ruffridge was born on July 26, 1917, in rural Grafton, the son of Henry Oscar and Myra Jane (Graves) Ruffridge. He was baptized in the Plymouth Methodist Church and attended Plymouth and Bolan Methodist Church. He attended and received his education in the rural Grafton schools.

He was inducted into the U.S. Army-Air Corps, serving during World War II.

Lloyd worked as a custodian and dishwasher at the Oakdale Sanitarium for 16 years. He also worked for the Northwood Elevator and Randall Transit Mix in Northwood.

He enjoyed flowers.

He was a member of the American Legion Post in Northwood.

He is survived by one sister, Ruth Millis and her husband, Clarence, of Northwood; three brothers, Myron Ruffridge, of Northwood, Harvey Ruffridge, of Northwood, and Donald Ruffridge, of Northwood; as well as nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and two sisters, Lucille Van Orden and Pearl Grundel.
