John Wright
(December 11, 1893 – November 9, 1918)

Mr. John L. Wright, the foster son of Mr. and Mrs. Lafe Wright, was born Dec. 11, 1893, and died Nov. 9, 1918, at the age of twenty-five years, ten months and nine days. Early in life he was adopted by Mr. and Mrs. Lafe Wright, residing east of town, who did for him all that parents could do for a son. He grew to manhood here in Worth County and in March 1914 was united in marriage to Miss Beata Oveden Everson. To this union two children were born, Hazel Loretta and Pearl Juliette, the latter a babe of fifteen months. After a brief illness with Spanish Influenza, John Wright died Saturday evening, preceding his wife in death by only a day.
