Beverly J. Nelson, 72, of 901 N.9th Ave., Northwood, Iowa died Tuesday July 26, 2005, at St. Mary's Hospital, Rochester, MN. Services were Saturday 10:30 a.m. at the Deer Creek Valley Lutheran Church, rural Glenville, MN with Rev. Jeff Wallager officiating. Interment was held in London Deer Creek Lutheran Church Cemetery, rural Northwood. Family suggests memorials to Beverly J. Nelson memorial fund.

Beverly was born Feb. 6, 1933, in Albert Lea, MN, the daughter of Selmer and Rose (Bergo) Forde. She graduated from Northwood High School in 1950. Beverly married Kenneth Nelson June 20, 1954, at the Shell Rock Lutheran Church, Northwood. They farmed in the rural Glenville area. She enjoyed gardening, baking, canning, sewing, making quilts, but most of all spending time with her family and friends. Beverly was a member of Deer Creek Valley Lutheran Church, Glenville.

Beverly is survived by her two sons; Greg Nelson and his wife Kathy, and their children Erik Nelson, Glenville, and his special friend Emily Meyer, Northwood, and Brianna Nelson, and Mike Nelson and his wife Cheryl, Glenville, and their children; Rachel Nelson, Glenville, Chandra Holmen and her husband Brett, Becker, MN, Penny Volk and her husband Josh, Emmons, MN and Cathie Jo Chapek and her husband Bill, Myrtle, ten great grandchildren; two brothers Stanley Forde and his wife Cynthia, Hempstead, TX and Ronald Forde and his wife Liz, Cape Canaveral, FL and two sisters Doris Asbjornson, Northwood, and Shirley Peterson, Kimbalton, IA and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Kenneth June 10, 2000; brother Jerry Forde; father-in-law and mother-in-law Reuben and Agnes Nelson, three brothers-in-law Phil Black, Art Peterson and Aldon Asbjornson and a sister-in-law JoAnne Nelson.
