Dr. Robert Koschmeder, age 77, of Grafton died Sunday July 24, 2005, at Mercy Medical Center-North Iowa, in Mason City. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, July 28, 2005, at the Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Grafton with Rev. Wayne Ellingson officiating. Burial will be in the Grafton Cemetery. Visitation is from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Champion-Bucheit Funeral Home, in Osage, and will continue one hour before services at the church on Thursday.

Robert was born December 12, 1927, at Mitchell, the son of Henry and Louise (Darius) Koschmeder. He graduated from Riceville High School in 1946, and then served two years in the U.S. Navy. Robert married Carol Fieldman on June 13, 1954, at Perry, Iowa. He graduated from Iowa State University in 1956 as a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. They lived in Grafton, Iowa, where he practiced veterinary medicine for over 49 years.

He, is survived by: his wife, Carol Koschmeder of Grafton, daughter, Linda Dagostino and husband Rick McBride of Grafton; two sons, Curtis Koschmeder and his wife Teresa of Lawrenceburg, IN, Kevin Koschmeder and his wife Sarah of St. Croix Falls, WI; one sister, Marian Weldin of Williams, IA; six grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and one sister.
