Obituary
Karen K. Schutt, 78, of Manly, formerly of Maquoketa passed away on Sunday,
December 12, 2021 at Manly Specialty Care.
Her funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, December 18, 2021at Dawson
Funeral Services in Maquoketa. A visitation will be held one hour prior to her service.
Burial will be held at the Pence Cemetery in rural Baldwin.
Karen Kay was born on December 29, 1942 in Clinton County Iowa to Urban and Wilma
(Sphect) Mohr. She graduated from Lost Nation High School in 1961. Karen enjoyed
dining out, attending local casinos, bird watching and being outside. She would spend
her time playing cards, board games and socializing with the residents and staff at
Manly Specialty Care. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her family.
Those left to cherish her memories are her children; Timothy (Samantha) Schutt of
Solon, Mark (Janet) Schutt of DeWitt, Mary Faught of Clear Lake, seven grandchildren,
a sister Lora Mohr of Ankeny and a brother Ron (Sharon) Mohr of Maquoketa.
She is preceded in death by her parents and a son-in-law.
