Killed by Lightning.
A very peculiar and sad death was reported at Northwood Wednesday morning. The victim, Robert Ewald, resided about four miles from Northwood, and was killed by lightning. He and his family were seated in the front room of the house, he waiting for the storm to be over so he could resume his work. He and two children were, seated upon a lounge, and the father hold a prattling babe upon his knee. The mother and wife sat nearly across the room in a rocking, chair. The flash came, the father was instantly killed and the mother rendered unconscious. The baby was, of course, thrown or dropped to the floor, but it nor the other children were not affected in the least by the destroyer of the father’s life.
