A Northwood Boy Killed by the Cars.
Northwood, March 14 — Claud Snyder a young man 21 years old of this place was run over by a Milwaukee train Saturday night at Grafton, Iowa, and ground to pieces. Snyder was a barber by trade and worked in his father's shop Saturday during the day and evening. At 11:20 p. m. Saturday he took the B C R & N train going south for Plymouth Junction where it is supposed be caught a freight for Grafton and in getting off at the depot in some way stepped under the train. He was found by a train going south about {?} o’clock Sunday morning lying by the depot platform horribly mangled, the upper and lower part of his body being fifteen or twenty feety{sic} apart.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows the name spelled Claude and that he was born in 1877 and died March 13, 1898. He is buried in Sunset Rest Cemetery.
