Donald Lavon Hagen born on May 28, 1930 in Kensett, Iowa to Leonard and Julia Hagen. Donnie peacefully passed away on Monday, April 8, 2019 with his family by his side.

He graduated from Northwood-Kensett High School in 1948. On October 14, 1956, Donnie married Gloria Ryan.

Donnie was a U.S. Army veteran and proud to serve his country. He was also a lifelong farmer and Donnie greatly enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

Surviving him in addition to his wife, Gloria whom he shared 63 years of marriage are his children, Julie (Dan) Robb, Nancy (Jon) McGregor, Gus (Diane) Hagen; grandchildren, Calsee (Ben) Hendrickson, Tyson (Stephanie) Robb, Cameron (Danielle) McGregor, Grayce McGregor, Samantha, Brent, Shelby and Blake Hagen; great grandchildren, Tinzley, Henry, Ada, Quinn, Kyrie, Jackson, Hannah and Angelina; siblings sister LaDonna Kerton; brother Dick (Gladdie) Hagen; sisters-in-law Sally Aase, Janet Anderson, Shirley Ryan.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his mother and father-in-law; his sister Ila Mae Everding; his brothers-in-law Dick Mandt, Merle Aase, Andy Anderson, Virg Ryan, Roy Kerton, Sherwin Everding; his sister-in-law Mic Mandt; nephew Steve Aase; great niece Bridget Hale.

Funeral services were on Thursday, April 11 at 11 a.m. at Sion Lutheran Church in Lake Mills, Iowa.
