Carolyn Bly

January 29, 1937 - December 28, 2017

Carolyn Bly, age 80, resident of Kensett, Iowa, passed away peacefully at the Hospice of North Iowa Muse Norris Inpatient Unit on Thursday, December 28, 2017.

Carolyn was born January 29, 1937, to Catherine (Trainer) and Albert Sutton. She married Virgil Bly and enjoyed life with their horses and animals on their farm. Carolyn was born in Mason City and a longtime resident of Kensett, Iowa. Carolyn was an avid equestrian and the owner of Basement Babies through which she shared her beautiful doll making craftsmanship.

Special thanks to Nicholas for being with his grandma Carolyn when she needed him, and the caring staff at Mercy Medical Center and Hospice House of North Iowa.

Carolyn is survived by her husband, Virgil; daughters, Sami (Mace) Borden, DeeDee and Vicki Bly; son, Mike Bly, 6 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren; and four siblings, Pauline, Sarah, Nancy, and Patty.

She is proceeded in death by her parents, Catherine and Albert Sutton; sons, Kevin Mace and Lucky Bly; and siblings Jackie, John, and Dennis.
