Donna Mae Larson, 80, of Kensett, died Thursday, Oct. 13, 2016.

Funeral services were held Monday, Oct. 17, 2016, at Bethany Lutheran Church, Kensett, with the Rev. Tom Martin officiating. Burial was at Kensett Cemetery.

Donna Mae Larson was born to George and Mabel (Nelson) Johnson in rural Northwood on Dec. 31, 1935. She was baptized and confirmed at Northwood and attended Kensett No. 2 rural school.

She was united in marriage to Lloyd H. Larson on Aug. 6, 1955.

Donna worked at Carroll George, Mode-O-Day and Fallgatter’s.

Donna was a lifetime member of the Izaak Walton League of America, a member of Kensett Community Action Program and a cemetery board member.

She enjoyed making quilts, being an avid reader, serving lunch at auctions and loved to play cards.

She was known as the lefse queen, making lefse for numerous people over the years, a craft she passed down to her daughter last year.

Those left to cherish her memory are: her sons, Larry and Lonny Larson; daughter, Lori (Mike) McNally; sister, Betty (Duane) Anderson all of Kensett; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents, husband Lloyd and brother Donald Johnson.
