Donald Duane Johnson

NORTHWOOD, IOWA — Donald Duane Johnson, 81, of Northwood, died on January 13, 2016, at his home.

Funeral service will be on Monday, Jan. 18, 2016, at 1 p.m. at Schroeder & Sites Funeral Home, Northwood, Iowa, with Rev. Judy Converse officiating.

Burial will be in the Sunset Rest Cemetery, Northwood.

Visitation is scheduled for Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. at Schroeder & Sites Funeral Home, Highway 65 South, Northwood, Iowa, and also one hour prior to service at the funeral home.

Donald was born on October 25, 1934, in Emmons, Minnesota, to George and Mabel (Nelson) Johnson.

His favorite activities included leading the Silver Lake tractor ride from 2005-2015, dancing, camping and boating. His love was farming.

Preceding him in death was his wife Joanne (Miller) Johnson and parents, George and Mabel Johnson.

Donald is survived by two sons, Greg and Bruce Johnson; daughter and son-in-law, Paula and Chuck Pilkington; two sisters, Betty Anderson and Donna Larson.
