MANLY, IOWA - Lois E. Schultz, 86, of Manly died Monday, January 19, 2015, at the Manly Care Center, Manly.

A celebration of life service will be 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 23, 2015, at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Grafton, with the Rev. Solveig A.H. Zamzow officiating.

Burial will be in the Grafton Cemetery, Grafton.

Family will greet friends Thursday from 5-7 p.m. at the Emmanuel Lutheran Church and then one hour before the service on Friday at the church.

Family suggests memorials to Lois E. Schultz memorial fund.

Lois was born May 25, 1928, in Grafton, the daughter of Clifford and Caroline (Walk) May. She attended rural school and then graduated from Grafton High School in 1946.

Lois married Kenneth Schultz December 11, 1949, at the Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Grafton. She farmed with her husband until 1970 and then went to work for Lutheran Retirement Home, Northwood as a nurses aide on the third shift for 12 years.

She enjoyed going to auctions, flea markets, writing poetry, family gatherings and genealogy. She was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Grafton.

Lois is survived by her two sons Randall Alan Schultz, Albert Lea, Minnesota, and Jeffrey Lee Schultz, Grafton; seven grandchildren, Elizabeth Stephana, Misty (John) Sailor, Jessica Schultz and her fiancé Trevor, Samantha Schultz, Kenneth Schultz, Casey Schultz and Tanner James Schultz; four great-grandchildren; two sisters Shirley (Gaylord) Olson, Emmons, Minnesota and Carol Leschefke, Albert Lea, Minnesota; two brothers John May and Ronald May, both of Des Moines; brother-in-law Floyd Mueller, San Bernadino, California, and sister-in-law Sharon May, Kensett. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Kenneth; two brothers Raymond and Dennis May and two sisters Doris May and Mardell Mueller and a brother-in-law Duane Leschefske.
