Leola G. Wilde, age 100, of Osage, Iowa, died Saturday, December 13, 2014, at Good Samaritan Society, St. Ansgar, Iowa.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, December 18, 2014, at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 1202 390th Street, west of Osage, with Pastor David A. Werges and Diaconal Minister Elayne J. Werges officiating. Burial will be in the St. John’s Cemetery. Visitation is from 4 to 6 p.m., Wednesday at the Champion-Bucheit Funeral Home in Osage.

Leola was born August 19, 1914, at home in Worth County. The daughter of Frank and Emma (Krueger ) Ingersoll. She grew up and attended schools in and near Rock Falls.

On November 25, 1934, she married Arthur Wilde at St. John’s Lutheran Church east of Grafton. They were married for 51 years when Arthur passed away in 1986. They farmed and raised eight children together. She could handle any job inside and outside the house from milking cows to harnessing up and driving a team of horses.

She kept very busy gardening, canning, and sewing. She was a talented quilter. She also was a very good cook, always having plenty of food at the table and would always set an extra plate no matter how many were at the table. Always caring for any nieces, nephews, and grandchildren that needed extra care.

Leola is survived by her children, Doris (Curtis) Clifford of Nora Springs, Gladys (Marshall) Bearbower of Lanesboro, Minnesota, Violet Duren of St. Ansgar, Janet Juenger of St. Ansgar, Glen Wilde and special friend Becky of Grafton, Garry Wilde of Osage, Jerry Wilde of Dorchester, Betty (David) Warrington of Urbana; 21 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; 22 great-great –grandchildren; two sisters, Naomi Ingersoll, of Manly, Fay (David) Thompson of Rio Rancho, New Mexico; brother William (Bernice) Ingersoll of Grinnell and many nieces and nephews.

Leola is preceded by her parents; husband, Arthur; four brothers; four sisters; Sons- in- law, Joseph Duren and Ronald Juenger; grandchildren, Glenda Bearbower, Todd Duren, Brant Juenger, and Wendy Wilde.
