DIED,
THOMSON—In Chicago Ill., of tumor of the stomach, Feb. 27, 1887, Wm. S. Thomson, of Northwood Iowa, aged 44 years.
Wm. S. Thomson was born in Racine county Wisconsin, removing to this county from Beloit Wis. with his brothers and sister, residing at Lime Springs and Cresco about thirteen years, and Northwood since. About four years ago his health began to fail, and since last August he has been confined to the bed. A few weeks since under the advice of his physician, he went to Chicago with a view of having the tumor, forming in the cavity of his stomach, removed if practicable. The physicians however, after an exploratory examination, decided that it could not be removed. His brother ex-sheriff Thomson, was with him in Chicago during his time there, and at his death. He leaves a widow and four children, two sons of age and a daughter some 14 years old. He leaves three brothers residing in this county viz., James, Samuel L.. and Andy R. Thomson and a sister, Mrs. John Arnot residing in Missouri, and hosts of sorrowing friends in Howard and Worth counties.
