GILBERT G. OLSON OF
CARPENTER DIED

Gilbert Olson, 87, died Tuesday at the convalescent home in Rockford. Funeral services were held on Friday at the Schroeder and Houg Funeral Home in St. Ansgar. Burial was in Deer Creek Cemetery at Carpenter. Rev. R. Lehmann was in charge.

Gilbert G. Olson was born on November 17, 1883, the son of Gilbert and Mary Opdahl Olson. he attended school and farmed in Deer Creek township all of his life, until the past several years, when he lived at the Good Samaritan Farm. He was a life long member of Deer Creek Lutheran church, being both baptized and confirmed there.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, and four sisters.

Survivors include four sisters: Mrs. Marie Larson, Holloway, Minnesota, Mrs. Ida Weaver, Hawley, Minnesota, Miss Dena Olson of Hartland, Minnesota, and Mrs. Julia Pederson of Austin, Minnesota.
