NORTHWOOD, IOWA - Karen Boettcher, 73, of Northwood died Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2013, at Mercy Medical Center-North Iowa, Mason City.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 15, 2013, at Schroeder and Sites Funeral Home, Northwood. Burial will be in Sunset Rest Cemetery, Northwood.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at Schroeder and Sites Funeral Home.

Karen was born on November 7, 1940, in Kensett, Iowa, to Milton and Olga (Buckland) Aarback. She was baptized at Elk Creek Lutheran Church, Kensett. Karen graduated from Kensett High School.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Milton and Olga Aarbach; special aunt, Inez Neale; and her husband, Lee Boettcher.

Karen is survived by two sons, Daniel and Clayton Boettcher, both of Northwood; one brother, Richard (Jeanette) Aarback of Kensett; niece, Debra Oakland of Albert Lea, Minnesota, and one nephew, Matt (Becky) Aarback of Northwood, and many cousins.
