Manly, Iowa — Martin "Marty" F. Lerach, 81, Manly, died Monday, December 31, 2012, at the Manly Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Manly.

A funeral service for Marty will be held 1 p.m., Monday, Jan. 7, 2013, at Hogan Bremer Moore Colonial Chapel, 126 Third St. N.E., Mason City. with the Rev. Kenneth B. Gehling officiating. Burial will following in Memorial Park Cemetery, Mason City.

A visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral service on Monday at the funeral home.

Should friends desire, memorials may be left to Holy Family Catholic Church, 714 N. Adams, Mason City.

Manly, Iowa - Martin "Marty" F. Lerach, 81, Manly died Monday, December 31, 2012 at the Manly Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Manly.

A funeral service for Marty will be held 1:00 p.m., Monday, January 7, 2013 at Hogan Bremer Moore Colonial Chapel, 126 3rd St. NE, Mason City with the Reverend Kenneth B. Gehling officiating. Burial will following in Memorial Park Cemetery, Mason City.

A visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral service on Monday at the funeral home.
Should friends desire, memorials may be left to Holy Family Catholic Church, 714 N. Adams, Mason City, Iowa.

Martin F. Lerach, son of Martin and Marie Davey Learach was born July 17, 1931 in Mason City, Iowa. Marty graduated school in Mason City and attended Mason City Junior College. Shortly after, he enlisted in the Army for two years and was discharged in 1955. Following his honorable service in the military, Marty attended an art school in Chicago before returning home to Mason City then moving to Manly, where he has lived the past ten years.

Marty was a creative individual, whose passion was drawing and painting.

He was a parishioner of Holy Family Catholic Church in Mason City.

He will be missed by his special family, Ann Sweesy, Mason City, Matt Sweesy and Diana Sweesy, both of Los Angeles, CA.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
