Funeral services for Clara H. Bartz, 93, of Grafton, were held Saturday at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Grafton. The Rev. James H. Fladland officiated and burial was in the Grafton Cemetery.

She died Wednesday, January 22, 1986 at a Northwood nursing home.

Mrs. Bartz was born December 17, 1892, in Grafton to August and Ernstine (Duenow) Wagner. A lifetime resident of the Grafton area, she was educated in the rural Grafton schools and married Richard J. Bartz on November 27, 1919 at Grafton.

Mrs. Bartz was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Grafton, and was active in the church circle.

Survivors include one daughter, Carrol (Frances) Ungs, Ventura; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one sister, Dora (Harry) Christians, Grafton; and two brothers, Walter, Grafton, and Art, St. Paul, MN.
