Wayne E. Braun, 62, of Northwood, died March 4, 1999, at the Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit, Mason City, IA.

Funeral services were held Monday at the Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Grafton, with the Rev. Ernest Thompson officiating. Burial was in the Grafton Cemetery.

Wayne was born December 24, 1936, on a farm near Grafton to Lawrence and Helen (Rademaker) Braun. He spent 6 years in the Army Reserves, then farmed for 42 years on a farm near Grafton.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Kenneth; two sisters, Marcy Ritchey and Ann Nicholson; and one sister-in-law, Diann Braun.

Wayne is survived by five brothers, Wilfred (Mae)Braun, St. Ansgar, Lawrence Braun, Jr., LeRoy, MN, Ray (Marlene) Braun, Manly, Dale (Viola) Braun, Emporia, KS, and Gary Braun, Northwood; four sisters, Ethel (Robert) Ballantyne, Mason City, Melba (Jim) Marker, Northwood, Phyllis Phelps, Iowa City, and Jean (Phil) Thune, Manly.
