Funeral services were held on Wednesday at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Grafton, for Irma Petznick, 76, who died on Monday, May 14, 1984, at a Mason City hospital. Rev. Gary Panko officiated and burial was in the Grafton Cemetery.

Champion Funeral Home, Osage, was in charge of arrangements.

Miss Petznick was born on February 17, 1908 at Union Township, Worth County, to Gustav and Ida (Bartz) Petznick.

She attended Union Township schools, graduating from Osage high school and the University of Iowa, where she was a member of the Sigma Kappa Sorority.

After graduaton she taught in rural schools in the Grafton area. She later worked at Equitable Life insurance Co. in Mason City, and was a bookkeeper for Mier Wolf and Sons Furniture Store in Mason City. She retired to Grafton in 1970.

She is survived by a sister, Verna Petznick of Grafton.
