Pearl Rose Marie Walk, 77, of Northwood, formerly of Grafton, died Thursday, July 1, 1993, at Americana Nursing Home, Mason City.

Funeral services were held Saturday at the Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Grafton with the Rev. Gregory Bjornstad and the Rev. Mark Bents of First Lutheran, Northwood, officiating. Burial was held in the Grafton Cemetery.

Pearl Rose Marie Walk was born on September 14, 1915, the daughter of Reinhold and Anna (Borchardt) Koehler in rural Grafton.

On February 20, 1933, she married Vernon Walk in Grafton. He preceded her in death on March 15, 1984. After their marriage, together they farmed on their farm near Grafton which would be their home until 1982, when they purchased a home in Grafton. Pearl remained in Grafton until 1991, when she purchased a residence in Northwood. She enjoyed reading, gardening, baking, along with walking her dog Benji.

She was a former active member of the Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Grafton, taught Sunday School for many years and was active in the church circle. When she moved to Northwood in 1991, she became a member of First Lutheran Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Uralee (Howard) Dorman, Belmond; a son Thomas (Violet) Walk, Kensett; four grandsons, Joel (Lori) Dorman, West Des Moines; Todd Dorman, Iowa Falls, and Michael and Scott Walk, Kensett; three great- grandchildren, Ashley, Jennifer and Nicholas Dorman; a sister, Hazel Gould, Tucson, AZ; as well as many nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband and parents.
