Arthur Helmer Brenden was born May 4, 1897 at Osage, Mitchell, IA, the only son of Ole Halvorsen Brenden and Julietta Andersdatter Grov.

Found in the 1905, 1910 censuses at Dexter, Mower, MN:
1910: Ole Brenden 42, Etta J Brenden 32, Arthur H Brenden 12.
Found in the 1915, 1920 censuses at Fertile, Worth, Iowa:
1915: Arthur Brenden 17 yrs old.
1920: Ole Brenden 53, Etta Brenden 42, Arthur Brenden 22.

Fought in World War 1 as a private in the Balloon Company.

Arthur married Clarinda Halvorsen in 1925 and they are found in the 1925 census at Fertile Worth, IA: Arthur Brendon 27, Clarinda Brendon 24.

The couple had 2 daughters, Frances and Lavonne.
Family found in the 1930 census at Pella, Marion, IA: Arther Brenden 32, Clorinda Brenden 29, Frances M Brenden 6, Lavone Brenden 4 1/12.

Arthur died August 14, 1972 at Fertile, Worth, IA. and was buried at the Brush Point Cemetery, Worth, IA.
