Funeral services for Fred J. Navratil, 83 of Grafton, who died Thursday, December 3 [1987] at a Mason City hospital, were held Monday, December 7 at Bride Colonial Chapel in Manly with the Reverend Harlan Gillespie officiating.

Mr. Navratil was born February 23, 1904 in Plymouth to Rudolph and Mary (Kraubetz) Navratil. He attended Plymouth schools. Mr. Navratil farmed until his retirement in 1975. He was a lifetime resident of the Grafton area, and spent the past eight winters in Arizona.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Enri (Mary Anna) Marreel of Chandler, Arizona and Mrs. Harvey (Rose Marie) Kruger of Northwood; a son, Richard of Grafton; a sister, Sylvera Cooper of Manly; a brother, Ben of Plymouth; and eight grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and five brothers.

Burial was in Plymouth Cemetery.
