A. Kirchgatter Dies;
Funeral to Be Monday

NORA SPRINGS — Funeral services for August Fred Albert Kirchgatter, 88, will be conducted Monday at 2 p.m. at St. Luke's Lutheran Church here. The Rev. Amedee Fredett will officiate. The Sheckler Funeral Home will be in charge, with burial in the Grafton Cemetery,

Mr. Kirchgatler died Friday night at the Pringle Nursing Home here. He had been a patient since Aug, 3.

A Nora Springs resident for 40 years, Mr. Kirchgatter came here from Mason City. He had previously lived in Grafton.

He was born Dec. 22, 1867, in Watertown, Wis., the son of August, and Ricka Kirchgatter. He is the last surviving member of a family of nine brothers and sisters.

He married Ida Bertha Lisse on Dec. 11, 1890.

A son, Leo, and his wife preceded him in death. She died February 25, 1943.

Surviving are three sons, Frank Kirchgatter and Emil (Ole) Kirchgatter, both of Carpenter, and Will Kirchgatter, Clear lake; a daughter, Mrs. Max (Emma) Runge, Nora Springs; 14 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
