CLEAR LAKE, IOWA - Jacqueline Kay Rollefson, 70, 400 U.S. Hwy. 18 W., Clear Lake, went to be with her Eternal Savior Thursday (March 12, 2009) at the Muse-Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit, Mason City, surrounded by her loving family, ending her battle of 30 years with Rheumatoid Arthritis.

A funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, March 14, 2009, at the Evangelical Free Church, 1310 Hwy. 18 W., Clear Lake, with the Rev. Dan Jordan officiating. Interment will be at Brush Point Cemetery, Fertile.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. today at the Ward-Van Slyke Colonial Chapel, 101 N. Fourth St. in Clear Lake. Memorials may be given to the Jacqueline Rollefson Memorial Fund.

Jackie was born Aug. 3, 1938, in Iowa City, the daughter of Glen Warren and Allene (Hamilton) Martin. She graduated from Mason City High School in 1957.

Jackie married Raymond Dean Rollefson July 3, 1958, in Mason City, and to this union, four children were born.

She started working at the Park Hospital in Mason City. Then later worked at Oakwood Manor and Handicap Village (now Opportunity village) as a nursing aide.

She has lived at the Lakeland Apt., then Apple Valley Assisted Living until 2006 when she moved to Oakwood Care Center. Jackie enjoyed crocheting, embroidery, shopping and drinking Cappuccino with her friend, Hazel. She loved her animals, taking a walk or riding her bike. She always enjoyed helping people and spending time with her grandchildren.

Jackie is survived by her four children, Cherri Kay Parris, of Clear Lake, Allen Ray (Laurie) Rollefson, of Coon Rapids, Rusty Glen (Sarah) Rollefson, of Clear Lake, and Debbie Sue (Marv) Miller, of Clear Lake; five grandchildren, Ben Parris, Anthony Miller, Tanner Rollefson, Jordan Rollefson and Joshua Miller, of Clear Lake; two great-grandchildren, Kaylee and Alexa Cruz Parris; brother, Rex (Virginia) Martin, of Charles City; and sister, Arvella Martin, of Mason City.

Jackie was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Raymond, (1983); two sisters, Ruth Gast and Margaret Murl.
