MASON CITY, IOWA - Marjorie A. "Marg" Voet, 77, of Mason City died Monday (Dec. 22, 2008) at the Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the Trinity Lutheran Church, 213 N. Pennsylvania Ave., with the Rev. Steve Palo, officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. Friday until time of services at the church. Memorials may be directed to the Marjorie Voet Memorial Fund.

Marg was born on February 9, 1931, in Northwood, Worth county, Iowa, the daughter of Louie and Gladys (Berg) Rasmussen. She graduated from Kensett High School, Kensett, Iowa.

Marg married Francis "Frank" Voet on November 27, 1951, in Kensett.

Marg was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend who valued her family. She was a longtime member of Trinity Lutheran Church. Some of her hobbies included reading and quilting.

Marg is survived by her husband, Francis "Frank" Voet, of Mason City; children, Linda (Fred) Nolte of Mason City, Gary Voet of Clear Lake, and Nancy (Klay) DeVries of Shoreview, Minn.; grandchildren, Kevin (Ann Marie) Nolte, Curt Nolte, Michael (Marie) Voet, Lauren (Tom) Hertel and Carly DeVries; great-grandchildren, Brooke and Morgan Banken, Avery Nolte; brothers, Marlyn (Joan) Rasmussen, of Thompson and Dale (Janice) Rasmussen of Mason City; sister-in-law, Bert Neeley of St. Ansgar; several nieces and nephews.

Marg was preceded in death by her parents.
