DIES AT FARM HOME - Funeral rites will be Monday for Resident of Hartland Township, 78 years--

Martin O. Johnson, 78, (d. 24 August, 1943), a pioneer resident of Hartland township, died Tuesday evening at 6:00 o'clock at his farm home. He had been in gradually failing health for several years.

Funeral services will be held Monday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock at the Connor funeral home in Northwood, and at 2:30 o'clock at Shell Rock Lutheran Church two miles west of Northwood.

Mr. Johnson was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Ole D. Johnson, born: 16 April 1864 in Kendall County, Illinois, who were among the earliest settlers of Hartland township, and had been a lifelong resident of that vicinity. He had never married.
