The funeral of Ole. D. Johnson was held at the Shell Rock Church Monday afternoon, conducted by Rev. O. T. Lee. Mr. Johnson died the later part of last week at the home of his son, west of town. He had been troubled for sometime with heart disease and other complications accompanying old age. Mr. Johnson was highly respected by all who knew him.

Mr. Johnson was born June 18, 1827 at Bergen, Norway, thus making him nearly 87 years of age at the time of his death. He came to this county in 1865 and has lived in this vicinity ever since. He was the father of nine children, 4 of whom have passed away. Mrs. Johnson died 20 years ago.
