James W. Smith

James W. Smith, a native of Niagara Co., New York, came to Union township in 1865, and purchasing a farm from William C. Moore, on section 18, opened up the land. He still resides in the same place. Source: History of Mitchell and Worth Counties, Iowa, 1884, p.871
