Gilbert G. Dahl

Gilbert G. Dahl is a native of Norway, born Feb. 2, 1849. At the age of fourteen he, with his parents, came to America, settling first near Carpenter, in Deer Creek township, Mitchell Co., Iowa. They remained here only one year, when they removed to Northwood, where they resided several years, and in the fall of 1873 Gilbert G. settled on section 29. Silver Lake township, Worth county. In 1873 he was married to Bertha Larson. They have six children-Wolinda, Gustaf, Caroline, Anna, Lewis and Ulilla. The family are members of the Norwegian Lutheran Church. Mr. Dahl affiliates with the republican party. He has a fine farm and is a prosperous farmer. Source: History of Mitchell and Worth Counties, Iowa, 1884, p.868
