Adam Gilpin. one of tho youngest of Northwood's progressive and successful business men, was born in Freeborn County. Minn., on the l4th day of January 1883. At the age of 16 he went to Austin. Minn., and entered Austin College. Two years later he secured employment in a meat market of that city to learn the trade. At 20 years of age he went to St. Paul and took charge of a market where he remained until 1905 when he purchased the business of H. L. Christianson in Northwood, which business he has since conducted very successfully.
In the spring of 1907 he started a market at Glenville, Minn., which is also proving very successful.
