Albert O. Johnson, the resident member of the firm of Evens, Johnson & Co.. was born in Worth county, Iowa, on the 17th day of May. 1876. On reaching his majority in 1897 he came to Northwood and entered the employ of the clothing firm of Strauss &, Gunderson, where he worked six years. In 1903 he accepted the position of traveling salesman for a clothing house, which occupation he followed until May 1905, when the present firm of Evens, Johnson & Co., was formed. For the last two years he has had sole charge of the local store and has built up a flourishing trade for his firm.
