Siver Johnson is one of the honored pioneers of Silver Lake township. He was born in Norway, May 22, 1823. In 1852 he emigrated to America, and settled at Rock Prairie, Wis., where he lived one year. He then went to St. Ansgar, Mitchell Co., Iowa, and lived on a farm near that place for three years. In 1856 he came to Worth county, being the second settler in Siver lake township. He was married in 1851, to Ingra Olstad. This union was blessed with four children – Torina, Isabel, Caroline and Ole. The entire family are connected by membership with the Lutheran Church.
