Rev. 0. T. Lee was born in Dane county, Wis., on the 5th day of November, 1858. In 1862 his parents moved to Faribault county, Minn., but were driven away by the Indians the same year and they settled down in Mower county, Minn. The boy attended the public school until the age of 15. He was then sent to St. Olaf college, in Northfield. Minn., where he studied five terms. In the fall of 1878 he entered Luther college. Decorah. Iowa, where he studied five years, graduating in the summer of 1884 and receiving the degree of "Bachelor of Arts. In the fall of 1881 he was enrolled as a theological student at Concordia seminary, St. Louis, Mo., whore he studied two years. In the fall of 1886 he entered the senior class of the theological seminary of the Synod for the Norwegian Evangelical church of America, then located in Madison, Wis. He graduated in 1887 and was ordained to the ministry in Deerfield, Wis., and accepted a temporary pastorate in Chicago, as vicar while the pastor was in Norway. In the fall of 1887 he accepted a call to Church's Ferry, North Dakota. In this mission field he worked two years. He then received a call to Northwood. which call he accepted in the fall of 1889, where he has since labored.
He was married on the 15th of May 1889 to Miss Marie Lien. They have six children living.
Besides serving, for some time six congregations, and for some time four, he has for the past 12 years been treasurer of the Home Mission of the Iowa district of the Synod. For three years he has been president of the Luther Academy Corporation and president of the board of trustees of that institution. At present he is president of the Albert Lea Special Conference.
