A. J. Berge, who, located in Bristol township in 1875, is a native of Dane Co., Wis., where he was born March 14,1851. He lived there until he was twenty-two years old, and then went to Minnesota. Two and a half years later he came to Worth county and bought eighty acres on section 1, Fertile township. He now resides on section 36, Bristol township, where he owns 120 acres of good land. He was married to Bertha Easton, Dec. 31, 1875. She was born in Norway, in 1849. They are the parents of four children—James, John, Mary Jane and Clara A. He and his family are members of the Norwegian Lutheran church. Politically, he is a democrat. Mr. Berge has been assessor of the township of Bristol for two years.
