Peter O. Belstad, a farmer by occupation, was born in Norway, Aug. 20, 1848. He came to America in 1869. He landed at New York and came at once to Madison, Wis., where he lived one year, then removed to Fillmore Co., Minn.; resided there two years, and in 1873 came to Worth county. He settled in Bristol township, on section 32, where he has since resided. He raises stock and grain of all kinds. He has 200 acres of good land. Mr. Belstad was married to Anna Swanson Feb. 3, 1874. She was born in Norway, June 28, 1855. They have two children by this marriage—Tomine, born April 30, 1878, and Gilbert 0., born Aug. '25, 1881. Mr. Belstad and family are members of the Norwegian Lutheran Church. Politically, he is a republican.
