Mildred Elaine Moore-Kerkes, 82, of Sioux City died Saturday, Aug. 19, 2006, in Sioux City.

Graveside services will be 4 p.m. Wednesday in Banner Township Cemetery, Lawton, Iowa, with the Rev. Merrill Muller of Wesley United Methodist Church officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Christy-Smith Morningside Chapel.

Mildred Elaine Moore was born Aug. 24, 1923, in Bronson, Iowa, the daughter of James DeWitte and Dorothy Eliza (Boehm) Moore. She was raised in the Bronson area and graduated from Climbing Hill (Iowa) High School in 1940. She had lived in the Bronson and Sioux City area most of her life. She was a homemaker.

Survivors include two brothers and their wives, Dr. Earl and Joyce Moore and Ralph and Marilyn Moore, all of Sioux City; a son, Lee; and three daughters, Carolyn, Kathleen and Valerie.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Gladys Mount; and a brother, Harold Moore.
